In 2012, a senior team of technical and business experts from Siemens, committed to advanced, mature, low NOx combustion technology and setup Sunco International Inc to go after the global energy market. Since 1996 this technology has successfully applied more than 30,000MW of boiler capacity, with single unit capacity ranging from 70 to 950 MW. Boiler types include wall, W flame (arch), and tangential, firing bituminous coal, lean coal, low-quality coal, lignite and petroleum coke. We have witnessed the transformation of the world's low Nox combustion 30-year history, including the retrofit experience of hundreds of units! Thus, we provide the world's most advanced low NOx combustion technology to the global power generation market.   

We have continued to improve the combustion performance in the design and supply of wall and tangentially fired boiler components, which include: low NOx burners, overfire air systems, fuel balancing equipment, and anti-high temperature corrosion systems.   These components are specifically designed for your plants in a combustion-related product development process.  A system approach is used from the mill to the furnace, while optimizing boiler thermal performance and minimizing emissions. We adopt an overall approach to secondary air system, pulverizing mill performance and burners with the boiler considered as a complete system. 

Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) are used to optimize the design of burners, overfire air system, and boiler secondary air ducts.  These analyses provide air flow distribution, combustion performance, emissions, and boiler heat absorption. In view of multi-burner systems, burner air and fuel imbalances need to be minimized, in order to optimize the combustion performance of the system. CFD modeling is used to achieve this balance through the design of aerodynamic flow devices for secondary air ducts. When required, two-phase physical modeling is used to optimize pulverized coal, biomass and other solid fuel burner and balance of system performance.
